Horn Island 35
From 1985 to 2019, Memphis College of Art took an annual 10 day excursion to Horn Island, Mississippi. There the group of students, faculty and alumni followed in the steps of artist Walter Inglis Anderson (1903-1965), studying the wildlife and creating art inspired by the island. This work was created for the annual Horn Island exhibition at the college, as well as an exhibition at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art.
